Sines has made significant investments, namely:

• In the port area, the Port of Sines, highlighting the Container Terminals, Natural Gas and Petrochemical, which allow the assertion of Sines on the route of international trade;
• In railway connections, the integration of Sines railway in the Trans-European Rail Freight Network, allowing fast and secure connections to Europe.
• In roads, the upgrading of the roads to Beja (IP8) and the upgrading and expansion of the IC33 to Évora, connecting companies in ZILS to major economic centers of the country, allowing also the connections to Spain, particularly in Extremadura, Madrid, Andalucia and southern Spain.
